Luc Langevin

From an early age, curiosity and the desire to understand pushed Luc Langevin to dive into the world of illusion. At the same time, Luc maintains a great passion for physical science. While he was finishing a master's degree in optics and starting a doctorate in biophotonics, the production company Téléfiction discovered the young artist's potential during a casting and offered him his first TV series. This is how in May 2009, "Comme parmagique" was broadcast for the first time on ARTV, thus allowing Luc to merge his talent as an illusionist and his scientific background to present more than 400 illusions to strangers encountered on the street or in public places. Luc's career is launched!
In 2010, Radio-Canada and ARTV presented the first of a series of “Artists Special” programs, where Luc created tailor-made illusions for guest artists. This show reaches more than a million viewers, with a 30% market share! One of these “Artist Specials”, “Aux Limits de l’Illusion 2”, received the Gémeaux Prize in 2013 for best variety or performing arts special. Other TV series concepts will be added. To date, Téléfiction has produced more than 30 hours of original programming for Luc Langevin. Note that these series are still on the air and offered on different broadcast platforms.
Encouraged by the success of his shows, Luc Langevin produced in August 2013, with his agent and producer Claude Veillet, his first show, "Réellement sur scène", which was a popular success (200 performances in front of more than 150,000 spectators), praised by critics and scheduled until the end of 2015.
From February 10 to 28, 2016, the illusionist presents his show for the first time at the Casino de Paris, in France. The critics are unanimous: “LANGEVIN – Creator of Illusions” is a success. In 2016 and 2017, this show was presented 30 times in Paris and 45 times in the rest of France and Switzerland.
From February 2018, “Now tomorrow”, Luc's second show, offers the public 12 new illusions that dazzle, make people laugh and amaze more than ever. In this very high caliber show, we witness for the first time a number in which a member of the public is teleported from one place to another on the stage before the eyes of stunned spectators.
Luc Langevin's virtual show, "Interconnectés", was presented for the first time in front of an audience in December 2020. Throughout the performance, spectators experience unique, modern and innovative numbers where the magic happens in their inbox , in their hands... and even inside their house! With more than 100 performances in French in Quebec and Europe (France, Belgium and Switzerland), more than 50,000 spectators attended.
Luc Langevin's third stage show, "Vérités", has been on tour across Quebec since September 2022. Luc walks the fine line between truth and lies. The numbers, each more fascinating than the last, lead spectators to question what they believe or not. What is truth? Where do we draw the line between the possible and the impossible? Can we interact with the invisible? Can we travel in an instant from one place to another, whether in the theater itself or in another city? Can we make everything appear on stage, including the unthinkable, the disproportionate? The public's certainties are certainly shaken!
Luc Langevin has today become the new reference as an illusionist, standing out for his charm, his natural talent as a communicator as well as the creativity and precision of his magic. Few illusionists around the world have been able to achieve this level of credibility and notoriety in such a short time.
Stay tuned for his tour in France (September 2023), Switzerland, Belgium and Monaco. In the meantime, Luc continues to innovate in the world of magic by working on an immersive virtual reality experience, "Luc Langevin: The art of risk", in collaboration with Téléfiction.
